Lock Haven, Pa. - Millersville's Aurielle Mosley and Bloomsburg's Dana Wieller share this week's PSAC East Athlete of the Week honor after both led their respective teams to a pair of victories. California's Danielle Luckett is the PSAC West Athlete of the Week after leading her team in three different statistical categories over the last two games.
Clarion's Hannah Heeter posted the highest single-game rebound total in the PSAC since the 2000-01 season to earn her fourth consecutive West Freshman of the Week award, while Cheyney's Aerie DeJesus led her team in scoring in both games last week to earn her second straight East Freshman of the Week award.
PSAC East Co-Athlete of the Week
Aurielle Mosley, Millersville
Junior, Center
York, Pa./Central York
Mosley averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds to help Millersville to a 2-0 week with wins over Mansfield and Shippensburg. She made 53.1 percent of her shots from the floor (17-of-32), including 2-of-3 from three-point range, and 3-of-5 free throws. She also contributed 3.0 blocks per contest. She also committed just one turnover in 56 minutes of play. In Wednesday's win over Shippensburg, Mosley just missed a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds to go along with three blocks. On Saturday, she knocked down 22 points and collected 15 rebounds along with three more blocks to lead the Marauders to a win over Mansfield.
PSAC East Co-Athlete of the Week
Dana Wieller, Bloomsburg
Junior, Guard
Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty
Wieller averaged 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals to help lead the Huskies to a pair of wins last week to keep pace with West Chester for first place in the PSAC East. The junior sharpshooter knocked down 12-of-29 from the field, including 5-of-16 from three-point range. She also converted on 15-of-17 free throws (88.2 percent). Against East Stroudsburg on Wednesday, Wieller netted 23 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and made 6-of-7 from the free throw line in a 12-point win. In Saturday's win over Kutztown, Wieller scored 21 points, had three boards and hit 9-of-10 from charity stripe in a seven-point win over the Golden Bears.

Aerie DeJesus, Cheyney
Freshman, Guard
West Chester, Pa./West Chester East
DeJesus earns her second straight East Freshman of the Week honor after averaging 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists last week for the Lady Wolves. She made half of her shots from the field (14-for-28) and from three-point range (6-for-12), and 3-of-4 free throws. DeJesus led the Wolves in scoring in both games, dropping in 20 points and also recording four rebounds, three assists and two steals in Wednesday's loss to West Chester, and then scoring 17 points along with six boards and three assists in Saturday's loss to Shippensburg. DeJesus has now led Cheyney in scoring in four straight games.
PSAC West Athlete of the Week
Danielle Luckett, California
Senior, Guard

Luckett led the Vulcans in scoring, assists and steals last week as she averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals while also adding 4.0 rebounds per game in California's 1-1 week. In a 72-69 overtime loss to Clarion on Wednesday, Luckett tied her season high with 22 points in addition to seven boards, three assists and four steals while playing a career-high 41 minutes. She then posted 15 points and a career-high seven assists in Saturday's win over Mercyhurst.
PSAC West Freshman of the Week
Hannah Heeter, Clarion
Freshman, Forward
Seneca, Pa./Cranberry
Heeter averaged a double-double for the fourth consecutive week to earn her cooresponding fourth straight West Freshman of the Week award. The dual-sport athlete averaged 17.0 points and 14.5 rebounds and once again enjoyed a strong shooting performance from the floor as she made 15-of-21 shots (71.4 percent) as well as 4-of-7 from the free throw line. She also averaged 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals. Her biggest game of the week came in Clarion's 72-69 overtime win over California on Wednesday and she poured in 22 points, 25 rebounds and five assists. The 25 boards were tied for the second-most in school history and the 20-20 double-double marked just the eighth time a 20-20 occurred in Golden Eagles history. The quarter-century mark in rebounds is also tied for the 10th-most in PSAC single-game history and is the most in a PSAC game since Edinboro's Kim Vay grabbed 25 boards during the 2000-01 season. It was also her fifth straight double-double. That string was snapped on Saturday in a loss to Edinboro as she was held to just 12 points and four rebounds.
Team Notes
Bloomsburg
The Huskies moved back into a tie for first place in the PSAC East with a road win over ESU and a home win vs. Kutztown last week. Bloomsburg is looking to win back-to-back PSAC East titles since a string of seven straight titles ended in 1992-93 ... Senior Kelsey Gallagher returned the lineup after missing four games with an injury. Gallagher scored 10 points in the win over Kutztown ... Dana Wieller needs 13 points to move past Michelle Ruzicka and into eight place on the school's all-time scoring list.
California
Cal U claimed a split in divisional play last week, losing in overtime at Clarion before winning against Mercyhurst over the weekend … The Vulcans have played two overtime games this season, marking the first time they have played multiple overtime games in the same year since the 2005-06 campaign … Cal U is now 4-4 in overtime games since the 2002-03 season … The Vulcans have won all seven meetings against the Lakers since Mercyhurst joined the league four years ago … Senior F Amy Johns has posted six 20-point games this year (15 career) and now ranks No. 18 in school history with 1,090 points … Since returning to the starting lineup, freshman G Chelsea McKnight is averaging 11.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals over the last five games
Cheyney
Aerie DeJesus has tallied in double figures in each of the last five games ... Linda Henderson netted a season high 12 points against Shippensburg eclipsing her old mark she set last week ... Nadirah Brown has registered double figures in each of the last six games she has played. Cheyney will look to notch their first victory of the season with a pair of home games this week against East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg.
Clarion
Fr. forward Hannah Heeter became the sixth player in school history to record a 20-20 game Wednesday when she had 22 points, 25 rebounds in an OT win over California and the first since Heather Cigich in 2004. It was the 8th 20-20 game in school history ... The 25-rebound performance was the third straight 15-rebound game for Heeter and the fourth since Jan. 3. In school history, only 7 players have had 4 or more 15-rebound games in their CAREER ... Heeter has the 12th most rebounds (168) by a freshman in school history ... Raven Jones topped 200 career assists during the week and has 207 in her career, tied for the 17th most in school history
East Stroudsburg
ESU ended a 9-game losing streak vs. West Chester with a 60-58 upset over the PSAC East leaders on Saturday ... Warriors fell to second-place Bloomsburg, 76-64, on Wednesday ... ESU went on 25-2 run, including 18-0 stretch, to lead WCU 32-13 at halftime ... WCU countered with an 18-0 run in the second half and led briefly, but Jr. F Fayola Moise had an offensive rebound and putback for the game-winning points with 2.8 seconds left ... ESU was 2-28 in the last 30 meetings ... Moise (9 points, 14 rebounds) also has two 15-rebound games this season and had 13 points, 8 rebounds vs. Bloomsburg ... So. G Andrea Veres scored 14 points, Fr. G Ryann Fiascki had 13 and Fr. F Jessica Martin had 11, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks ... Veres, who also had 8 steals vs. WCU, scored 17 vs. Bloomsburg ... Martin moved into ESU's career top 10 with 43 blocks in just 18 games ... She broke the freshman record of 33 earlier this season.
Edinboro
Edinboro (18-0, 14-0 PSAC) remained No. 3 in the USA TODAY/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Jan. 24 … Edinboro defeated rival Mercyhurst, 71-41 on Wednesday, forcing 40 turnovers during the contest. Junior Samantha Blazetic led the way with 18 points and seven rebounds … Junior Kiara Brown scored a game-high 25 points to lead Edinboro to an 87-51 win over Clarion on Saturday. Senior Renee’ Brown also tallied 13 points … Edinboro has held its opponents to under 60 points in five straight games and in 10 out of its last 11 contests. In eight games during the month of January, Edinboro allowed an average of 49.5 points per game … Edinboro ranks first in NCAA Division II in assists per game (19.8) and turnover margin (+11.4) and second in scoring margin (+23.9) and steals per game (17.7).
Gannon
Gannon moved to 15-3 overall with a 12-2 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference after a pair of wins last week … The Lady Knights defeated Slippery Rock 79-62 on Wednesday before traveling to Lock Haven to earn a 73-64 win over the Lady Eagles … During a closely contested game with Lock Haven, the Lady Knights were able to sink 23 of their 30 free throw attempts, including 16 in the second half en route to the victory … Nettie Blake (15.5), Jen Papich (13.5) and Kelley Sundberg (11.0) all averaged double digits for Gannon. Sundberg also dished out a total of 14 assists in the two games.
IUP
The 18th-ranked Crimson Hawks went 2-0 last week, including wins over Lock Haven and Slippery Rock, to improve to 16-2 overall, 14-2 in the PSAC … In a home 62-49 victory over the Bald Eagles, Fr. G Marita Mathe tied the single-game school record with seven three-pointers, scoring a season-high 21 points … The seven treys tied Lacey Claar, who nailed the same number against Clarion back in January 2010 … On the road at Slippery Rock, IUP rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to outscore The Rock 38-15 for a 57-42 comeback victory … Jr. F Sarah Pastorek posted her fourth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Mathe and fellow Fr. G Leslie Stapleton each added 10 points.
Kutztown
Kutztown nearly overcame a 20-point deficit with a late 14-point run, but fell on the wrong side of a 72-65 decision to Bloomsburg. KU had three players score in double figures … Sophomore Avery Hodgson had a game-high 21 points and she grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season … Junior guard Ashley Wood dropped ten on the Huskies and helped lead Kutztown's late charge. She tied her career-high with seven rebounds while chipping in four assists. She also scored 24 against Mansfield to score in double figures for the 15th time this season … Freshman Advia Campbell scored 12 for the Golden Bears … KU is 16th in Division II in free throw percentage (75.6) and 11th three-point field-goal percentage (37.1).
Lock Haven
Lock Haven dropped both of its games this week to PSAC West foes IUP and No. 20 Gannon. The Lady Eagles are now 7-10 overall, 6-8 in conference play and have lost three straight contests … LHU is led by Peaches Nesmith, who averages 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game … Freshmen Lysa Mealing and Samantha Lane have sparked The Haven recently, as they have provided strong play off the bench … Mealing, having played in just four games this season, is coming off of nine point and four rebound performance against Gannon. Her presence down low helped the Lady Eagles battle No. 20 Gannon right down to the wire … Lane, who has been a key contributor all season, averages 4.3 points per game, and is the stabilizer off of the bench for LHU … The Lady Eagles take on Mercyhurst (Wednesday, Feb. 1) and Edinboro (Saturday, Feb. 4) this week.
Mansfield
The Mountaineers went 1-1 over the week defeating Kutztown 81-69 Wednesday before dropping a heartbreaking 71-59 decision to Millersville on Saturday ... Saturday's loss snapped the Mounties two-game win streak, their longest of the season ... Mansfield is 4-10 in the PSAC and currently tied with East Stroudsburg for fifth in the PSAC East ... With the win over Kutztown, Mansfield has already matched their win total - seven games - from last season. Senior Mallory Moore, who averaged 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over the week, became the second leading scorer in program history on Saturday ... Moore now sits at 1,393 career points ... Freshman Marrysa Moyer recorded her fifth double-double of the season in the win over the Golden Bears recording career-highs in points (15) and rebounds (12).
Mercyhurst
The Lakers fell twice more last week, dropping road games at #3 Edinboro and California (Pa.) ... Hurst committed 40 turnovers in the loss at Edinboro-the most in at least 10 seasons by a Laker team ... At Cal, Nikki Frederickson scored a career-high 28 points, hitting 12-18 shots from the field ... She also grabbed seven steals and six rebounds ... Mercyhurst turned the ball over 30 times in the defeat ... Frederickson's point total tied a season-high by a Laker, as Lindsay Stamp dropped 28 at Northwood on November 12 ... Hurst returns home to face Lock Haven February 1 in a key PSAC Western Division contest ... The teams are tied for fifth in the division, three games behind Cal.
Millersville
The Millersville women’s basketball team responded last week after its worse shooting performance of the season in its loss to Kutztown … The Marauders won both their games in convincing fashions to improve to 12-6 (9-5 PSAC) and be one game out of first place in the PSAC East. On Wednesday, Millersville handed Shippensburg its worse loss of the season by a score of 75-60. The Marauders shot 59 percent in the first half, while scoring season-high 47 first-half points … Against Mansfield, Millersville struggled in the first half and trailed 33-28 at the half. The Marauders exploded in the second half opening on a 25-7 run in the first 10 minutes. The Marauders outscored the Mountaineers 43-26, while shooting 50 percent in the half … Head Coach Mary Fleig has now won seven straight over Shippensburg and 10 straight over Mansfield.
Shippensburg
Shippensburg has now alternated wins and losses in its last eight games but now sits two games ahead of three teams for the fourth and final playoff spot in the PSAC Eastern Division with eight games to play ... Senior Monae Baker is now just 75 points shy of 1,000 in her career ... Sophomore Sarah Strybuc has scored eight or more points in 10 consecutive games ... Each of the last five PSAC victories for Shippensburg have been by at least 13 points ... SU has shot 70 percent or better at the free-throw line in every game this season ... SU has held the opposition under 40-percent shooting from the field in 11 of 18 games.
Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock dropped its third and fourth consecutive games last week, falling on the road at #20 Gannon and at home to #18 Indiana ... The Rock led IUP by eight at halftime before going cold in the second half, hitting one field goal and scoring just four points in the final 10:27 of the game ... Danielle Smith continues to lead the team with per game averages of 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds.
West Chester
West Chester split its two PSAC road contests last week, defeating Cheyney, 84-62, before being upset at East Stroudsburg, 60-58 ... West Chester has now won 42 of the last 43 meetings with the Wolves ... Allison Hostetter registered her 300th assist, making her just the second player in school history with 1,000 points, 600 rebounds and 300 assists ... WCU's loss at ESU ended a nine-game win streak against the Warriors ... WCU has won 28 of the last 30 meetings against ESU ... The Golden Rams were held scoreless for nearly 10 minutes in the first half.
