Lock Haven, Pa. - In the end, there was no doubt about it. Shippensburg's Neely Spence cemented her status as the greatest runner in PSAC cross country history as she won her unprecedented fourth consecutive indiviudual championship. In doing so, she also led her team to its fourth straight team title, as the Lady Raiders easily topped second place Edinboro by 43 points to win with a total of 64.
Edinboro had 107 for second place, edging out third place Lock Haven with 118. Bloomsburg, which had the fourth place individual finisher in Vicki Davis, came in fourth with 126 points while Mansfield, with individual third place finisher Brenae Edwards roundout out the top five with 144 points.
Spence won the individual title by just over 25 seconds over her teammate Kate Spratford. She is the first runner in conference history - male or female - to win four consecutive and overall individual championships. Edwards and Davis followed while East Stroudsburg's Rose Mascoli rounded out the top five individual finishers.
