Edinboro Wins PSAC Men's XC Title, Lock Haven's Monroe Claims Individual Crown

Lock Haven, Pa. - Edinboro added to its tradition and conference legacy in men's cross country on Saturday as the Fighting Scots won their 28th all-time conference championship and their first since 2008 as the Fighting Scots won by 22 points over second place and defending champion Shippensburg.
Lock Haven's Alex Monroe claimed the individual championship as he topped last year's champion, Scott Anderson of Edinboro, by just under six seconds. Shippensburg's Stephen Schelander and Matt Gillette both finished in the top five for the second straight year, placing third and fourth, respectively. California's Aaron Dinzeo roudned out the top five.
Shippensburg was able to edge out Lock Haven for second place by just six points, while the Bald Eagles topped East Stroudsburg for third place by just five. The Warriors beat out fifth place Slippery Rock by just three points. After that, there was a large gap in the team scores as sixth place California had 161 points to The Rock's 92.
