Two sports information directors from PSAC schools have recently been named to leadership positions within the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) organization. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) is pleased to announce its 2008-09 Scholar-Athletes, which are highlighted by the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar-Athletes of the Year. A total of 1,859 PSAC student-athletes have been named Scholar-Athletes while Gannon’s Kyle Goldcamp and Slippery Rock’s Jen Blasko have been named the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar-Athletes of the Year. PSAC schools combined for a total of 17 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American® selections during the recently concluded 2008-09 school year. Eleven of the league's 16 schools had at least one Academic All-American this year. Chris Clark of California (Pa.) and Jamie Maloney of Clarion have been named the winners of the inaugural PSAC Sportsmanship Award.
