PSAC Football Notes: Week 1

The 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference football season will be underway this week with all 15 teams in action. Six league schools open their respective season on Thursday while the remaining nine play Saturday.

After a trip to the NCAA DII Football Semis, No. 4 IUP will face a tough road test to open the season when it travels to No. 15/16 Ashland Thursday. California looks to defeat Ohio Dominican for the second consecutive season while East Stroudsburg ventures to No. 8/7 Ferris State. Overall, five PSAC teams will be at home during week one. 

In all, 65 players tabbed as All-PSAC selections from a year ago are set to return, including 28 first-team representatives.
