WEST CHESTER, Pa. ---
The No. 3-seeded East Stroudsburg Warriors claimed their fourth consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Championship after defeating No. 1-seeded West Chester, 1-0, in the title match Saturday afternoon at John A. Rockwell Field in West Chester, Pa.
 
The Warriors (15-3-3) is the first team in PSAC history to claim a four-peat in the sport and boasts a conference-leading six crowns. The Golden Rams (16-3-1) outshot ESU, 13-8, including seven shots on goal.
 
ESU freshman midfielder Haley Skove scored the contests only goal in the 77th minute and senior goalkeeper Jules Harris made seven saves.

Skove scored from short range after a long free kick by sophomore back Jessica Woodbyrne.

Harris earned tournament MVP accolades after she produced her 40th career shutout and ESU single-season record 12th shutout of the year. Harris allowed one goal in ESU’s three playoff games. Harris made four saves in a span of 4:25 late midway through the second half.
 
ESU earned an automatic bid to the NCAA DII Women’s Soccer Tournament and will learn its fate on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. when the bracket is released.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Championship field has been set following the conclusion of the regular season, the league announced Saturday evening.
 
Four quarterfinal matches will be played Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the higher seed while the semifinal and final will be on campus of the highest remaining seed.
 
The West Chester Golden Rams claimed the No. 1 seed for the second consecutive season after posting a 14-2-1, 14-2 PSAC record. WCU have won nine consecutive contests and haven’t lost since Sept. 27 (Kutztown, 2-0). The Golden Rams entered the week at No. 21 in the NCAA DII Coaches’ Poll and No. 3 in the Atlantic Region Rankings. WCU will host Bloomsburg at 1 p.m. in a quarterfinal Tuesday.
 
Kutztown grabbed the No. 2 seed at currently sits at No. 6 in the country and No. 1 in the region. The Golden Bears enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed for the second consecutive season and fell in the title match in 2016. KU paces the PSAC with 15 wins and will host Seton Hill at 1 p.m.
 
East Stroudsburg earned the No. 3 seed and is No. 4 in the region. The Warriors have won three consecutive PSAC crowns. ESU concluded the regular season with a 12-3-3, 11-3-2 mark and will host Slippery Rock at 6 p.m.
 
Gannon jumped up and clinched the No. 4 seed following an overtime win against Millersville on the final contest of the regular season. The Lady Knights boast a 12-3-2 record and have scored at least two goals in each of their last five matches. GU will welcome IUP at 1 p.m.
 
IUP earned the No. 5 seed and enters the postseason on a roll, winning eight of its last nine. The Crimson Hawks are 12-5, 11-5 on the year and seeks their third PSAC crown.
 
SRU claimed the No. 6 seed and has scored three goals in four of its last seven contests. The Rock fell to ESU in a quarterfinal last year. SRU is 10-5-2, 10-4-2.
 
SHU landed the No. 7 seed. The Griffins have scored 17 goals in their last five games.
 
BU grabbed the No. 8 seed and have scored 11 goals in its last five matches.
 
The dates and times of the semifinals and final will be determined Tuesday following the results of the quarterfinals.
