Lock Haven, Pa. - PSAC West Athlete of the Year IUP's Brandon Norfleet and PSAC East Athlete of the Year Kutztown’s Josh Johnson headline the 2016 PSAC Men's Basketball All-Conference teams, as selected by the league’s head coaches.

Spencer Casson of Seton Hill won the West's Defensive Athlete of the Year accolade, while West Chester's Matt Wiseley earned the East's Defensive Athlete of the Year distinction.

IUP’s Dante Lombardi was awarded the PSAC West Freshman of the Year, and West Chester's Malik Jackson was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Year.

Pitt-Johnstown head coach Bob Rukavina is the PSAC West Coach of the Year, and Kutztown's head coach Bernie Driscoll is the East Coach of the Year.

Norfleet was the conference’s leading scorer in 2015-16, averaging 22.5 points per game. He was also fifth in assists, dishing out an average of 4.5 per game. Norfleet led the Crimson Hawks to a PSAC West Championship this year and had 20 20-point games this season and four games where he broke 30 points. He is the second straight player from IUP (Devante Chance) to earn this honor.

Johnson led Kutztown to the PSAC East Championship, averaging 14.8 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game. He also shot 53.1% from the floor, which ranks fifth in the conference. Johnson is the first KU player named PSAC East Athlete of the Year since 2010 (Stephen Dennis).

Casson becomes the first Seton Hill men’s basketball player to earn a PSAC superlative award.  He led the league in blocks, averaging 3.7 rejections per game. His 95 blocks on the year are more than double anyone else in the league and the most in NCAA Division II.

Wiseley has been PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Year in addition to being honored on the PSAC East First Team. He leads the conference in rebounding, hauling in 11.3 boards per game. As a team, the Golden Rams lead the conference in rebounds and rank in the top five in the PSAC in points allowed per game (72.2). Since this award was established in 2012, Wiseley is the first WCU player to earn this honor.

Lombardi was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Week on four occasions this season, and capped off his debut season with the PSAC West Freshman of the Year honor. Lombardi was fourth on the Crimson Hawks in scoring, averaging 8.5 points per game. He was second on the team, behind only Norfleet, in assists (81).

Jackson was named Second Team All-PSAC East in addition to his PSAC East Freshman of the Year honor. He was ninth in scoring in the league this season, averaging 15.6 points for the Golden Rams, leading the team. He is the first WCU freshman to earn this award since Joe Meade was named the PSAC East Rookie of the Year in 1998.

This is the first time that Rukavina has been PSAC West Coach of the Year. The UPJ head coach since 1989, Rukavina has posted seven 20-win seasons in Johnstown. This year, he led his team to the PSAC Quarterfinals.

Driscoll has now been named the PSAC East Coach of the Year four times. He led the Golden Bears to a PSAC East Championship, the first championship for KU since 2012. Kutztown ranked second in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 84.9 points per game.
