Lock Haven, Pa.- Mercyhurt's Fred Hale earns the PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week honor after an outstanding performance last weekend.

Hale, the eighth-ranked wrestler in Division II at the heavyweight division, won a pair of matches last week, including one by fall. He took down No. 3 Jacob Southwick of Ashland by way of a 9-4 decision in front of a home crowd on Friday, which was one of only two bouts won by the Lakers in the dual. Hale then pinned Jacob Nale of Shippensburg in 2:44 the following day to contribute to Mercyhurst's dual win over the Raiders. With his wins, the senior improved to 26-6 on the season.
