Anthony DiPasquale Named Champion Scholar of PSAC Football Championship
Indiana, Pa. - IUP's Anthony DiPasquale has been named the football PSAC Champion Scholar for boasting the highest grade point average among the participating student-athletes at the PSAC Championship game.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average that is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III.
DiPasquale, a redshirt senior business major, holds a 3.74 grade point average through 120 credit hours. He hails from Pittsburgh and is a Pine-Richland graduate.
