Mercyhurst's Kristen Vidmar named winner of PSAC Champion Scholar Award

Kristen Vidmar has been named the winner of the PSAC Champion Scholar Award.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Award, begun during the 2011-12 academic year, is modeled after the NCAA's Elite 89 award and honors the student-athlete with the top grade point average that is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 89 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship final sites of the 89 NCAA championships across all three divisions - I, II and III.
Vidmar is a junior majoring in chemistry at Mercyhurst. She currently has a 3.877 grade point average and has accumulated 68 credit hours in her career. The Willoughby, Ohio native is a graduate of Willoughby South High School.
