Lock Haven, Pa. - Men's and women's basketball teams from all 16 PSAC schools will participate in Hooping for a Cure during the month of February, which is part of a national breast cancer awareness and fundraising effort on behalf of the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA).

All 16 PSAC schools have designated a home game during the month of February as their Hooping for a Cure game. In each designated game, both teams will wear black (men) or pink (women) t-shirts in warm-ups and fans will be able to donate toward cancer research. All funds raised at the Hooping for a Cure games will go to either a charity of the school's choice or to the WBCA's charity of choice, the Kay Yow cancer fund.

Hooping for a Cure is the PSAC's awareness and fundraising effort that is a part of the WBCA's Play 4Kay, which was formerly known as the WBCA Pink Zone. Play 4Kay is an opportunity for coaches and teams to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
