Kutztown Tops Bloomsburg for Third Straight PSAC Men's Tennis Championship

Bloomsburg, Pa. - Kutztown won two of three doubles matches and then won all three singles matches that were finished to top Bloomsburg 5-1 and win its third straight PSAC men's tennis championship.
The title marks the Golden Bears second championship match win over Bloomsburg in the last three years and Kutztown's 10th in the last 12 seasons. With its 10th overall title, Kutztown ties East Stroudsburg for the second-most men's tennis championships in program history. Bloomsburg leads the way with 21 all-time PSAC men's tennis championships.
All three doubles matches were closely contested, with the Golden Bears winning at No. 1 and No. 2 by respective scores of 8-5 and 9-8 (8-1). Bloomsburg won at No. 3, 9-7. Kaushik Das topped Ricky Dove at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-4. The Golden Bears also got singles points from Arijit Goswami at No. 3 (6-2, 7-6 (8-2) over Lee Wexler), and Andrew Zhu at No. 5 (6-2, 6-1 over Tyler Pultro). Bloomsburg led the remaining three singles matches when they were halted.
