Darryl Webb recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead four Crimson Hawks in double figures and IUP held off Slippery Rock in the second half after building up a 10-point halftime lead to top The Rock 82-75 and capture its second straight PSAC men's basketball championship.

IUP made just 15 field goals on 37 attempts, 21 fewer attempts than Slippery Rock as Rock held IUP to 40.5 percent shooting from the floor, just slightly above its league-leading field goal percentage defense. Slippery Rock also outrebounded IUP 35-30 but the Crimson Hawks held a decisive advantage at the free throw line, making 49-of-62 attempts, including a 15-for-17 performance by Webb and a perfect 8-for-8 for Julian Sanders. The 49 made free throws and 62 attempts are both new PSAC tournament records.

The Crimson Hawks ended the first half on a 12-4 run in the final three minutes to take the 10-point halftime lead. Slippery Rock fought back in the second half but only once was able to cut the deficit to five points, which came with just under 14 minutes remaining and after that, got no closer than six for the remainder of the game.

Ashton Smith scored 18 points while Willi Estrella had 13 and Kevin Stewart added 12. Maron Brown led Slippery Rock with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting. Jabril Bailey had 19 points while Tommy Kelly had 12.
