Nine PSAC Tennis Teams Selected to Respective NCAA Tournaments

A total of nine PSAC tennis teams, three men's and six women's squads, have been selected to play in their respective NCAA Tournaments, which begin on Thursday, May 6 with the regional rounds. Two teams from each of the eight regions will then advance onto the NCAA championships, which will be held May 12-15 in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
PSAC champion Kutztown, PSAC runner-up Mercyhurst and Bloomsburg were all selected to the men's tournament. Kutztown will serve as a host of one of the two sub-regionals and will take on Mercyhurst in the first round. Bloomsburg will play in the other sub-regional being held at West Virginia Wesleyan and will take on Shaw in the first round.
California, Slippery Rock, East Stroudsburg, Mercyhurst, Bloomsburg and IUP were all selected to the women's tournament. PSAC champion California and PSAC runner-up Slippery Rock will serve as the two host sites in the women's tennis sub-regionals. The Vulcans will receive a bye into the second round where they will take on the winners of the first round match between East Stroudsburg and Mercyhurst. In the other sub-regional at Slippery Rock, The Rock will receive a bye into the second round where it will take on the winner of the first round match between IUP and Shaw. Bloomsburg will take on West Virginia Wesleyan in the other second round match.
