Shippensburg's Neely Spence added another national championship to her already impressive resume as she wrapped up her sophomore season by winning the national title in the 5,000 meter run to lead the PSAC's participants on Saturday on the final day of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Spence's efforts, along with a second place finish in the steeplechase by Mary Dell, helped the PSAC champion Lady Raiders finish in ninth place to lead all PSAC women's teams. IUP finished in 20th place behind the outstanding performance from Maddy Outman, who turned in two more All-American performances in the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles to give her four All-American finishes at the meet. She was also an All-American in the heptathlon and the long jump.
