Lock Haven, Pa. - The 2010 PSAC baseball regular season concluded on Saturday as all games were able to be played and with the conclusion of the season comes the announcement of the tournament field for next week's PSAC baseball tournament. Defending PSAC tournament champion West Chester claimed the No. 1 seed in the East and the Golden Rams won the Eastern Division by a game over second place Kutztown while IUP, which missed the tournament last year, claimed the No. 1 seed in the West after winning the Western Division by a game over second place California.
The PSAC baseball tournament will be contested this year as Point Stadium in Johnstown, Pa. Play starts on Wednesday, April 28 and runs through Saturday, May 1. Tickets are $7 for a day pass, which will gain the ticketholder admission to all tournament games in a day. Students from PSAC institutions will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
Kutztown earned the No. 2 seed in the East and the Golden Bears were followed by No. 3 Mansfield and No. 4 East Stroudsburg. California is the No. 2 seed in the West while last year's tournament runner-up Mercyhurst is the No. 3 seed. Perennial contender Slippery Rock is the No. 4 seed in the West.
