A pair of seniors have been awarded the Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, as Edinboro's Kyle Wuntz and East Stroudsburg's Paul Wagner had posted impressive marks in their respective events over the past week. 


Men’s Track

Edinoro's Kyle Wunz was the Fighting Scots’ top finisher this past weekend at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State. He posted sixth place finishes in the 200 meter and 400 meter dashes. Running in a meet with 93 schools, including several Division I programs, Wunz finished with a time of 47.81 in the 400. That time is the seventh best in Division II and is a NCAA provisional qualifying mark and was the top time in the PSAC so far this season. On Saturday, Wunz finished sixth in the 200 with a time of 21.65, less than a second behind George Mason’s Rachaunn Ruffin. He currently holds the top PSAC time in that event as well, and just missed a NCAA provisional qualifying time by a mere two tenths of a second. 
 

Men’s Field

Paul Wagner- East Stroudsburg

East Stroudsburg's Paul Wagner competed at the Lafayette Seven Way Meet this past week. Wagner helped lead East Stroudsburg to a team championship in a field that included Division I school's such as Rider, Lafayette, St. Joseph’s and Lehigh. Wagner won the hammer throw with a NCAA provisional mark of 190' which is the seventh best throw in Division II and sits atop the PSAC. He finished second in shot put with a throw of 47'-7 1/4", which is fourth best in the PSAC so far this season, and finished third in discus with a toss of 147'-1".  Wagner was an All-American last season and is a six-time PSAC Champion, two coming in the hammer, three in the weight, and one in indoor shot. During the indoor season he won the weight and the shot at the PSAC championships and went to NCAA championships in the weight throw.
