Lock Haven, Pa. - Edinboro junior Zak Clifford and Lock Haven junior Amanda Terray are this week’s PSAC Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively. Clifford helped lead the Fighting Scots to a dual meet win by winning three individual events while Terray did the same for Lock Haven in winning three individual events while leading the Lady Eagles to three dual wins.

 

PSAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Zak Clifford, Edinboro
Junior, Backstroke/IM
Oil City, Pa./Oil City

Clifford posted three individual event first place finishes and one relay win in Edinboro’s dual meet win over Allegheny. He won the 100 backstroke in :53.17, which was less than a second short of an NCAA ‘B’ time, and also won the 200 back (1:57.19) and the 200 IM (2:04.01). He was also a part of the 200 medley relay team that narrowly took first place. 

 

PSAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Amanda Terray, Lock Haven
Junior, Backstroke
Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley

Terray won three individual events and was also a part of two first place relay teams as Lock Haven defeated Mansfield, Chatham and California in duals at a quad meet hosted by Cal over the weekend. The two-time defending PSAC champion in the 200 backstroke won that event in a pool and meet record time of 2:07.91, which was also an NCAA ‘B’ time. She also won the 100 back (1:00.31) and 100 free (:55.20) and was a member of the first place 200 and 400 medley relay teams.
