Clarion freshman James Fleming went 3-0 this past weekend on his way to being honored as the PSAC's Athlete of the Week.

Clarion freshman James Fleming went 3-0, helping Clarion pick up dual wins in two of three matches this past weekend. Perhaps his most significant win came on Friday when he defeated Bloomsburg's Josh Roosa by a score of 3-2. Going into the match Roosa was ranked 18th by Amateur Wrestling News and Fleming 19th, and when they met earlier this year at the PSAC Championships, Roosa defeated Fleming by a 3-1 score.
Then on Saturday Fleming returned to wrestle Princeton's Dan Kolodzik. While leading the match 8-0 in the first period, Fleming pinned Kolodzik at the 2:42 mark. Later in the day he defeated Rider's Mike Kessler by a score of 7-0. Kessler had a respectable record of 18-8 coming into the match before his defeat.
With this past weekend's impressive effort Fleming has raised his record to 21-5 and ranks second among teammates with five falls.
