Thomas went 4-0 at the PSAC Championships, winning each match by fall, and leading Clarion to its first team title since 1994. He picked up his first pin in 1:57 over Travis Stem of Lock Haven in the opening round, then claimed his second as he took down Daniel Cox of Millersville in 1:32. In his longest match of the day it took Thomas 5:57 to pick up a pin over Mercyhurst’s Michael Pollard to advance to the championship. In a rematch of last year’s final Thomas caught Edinboro’s Shawn Fendone in a Half Nelson and registered the championship victory in just 51 seconds.
