Men's Soccer PSAC Athlete of the Week - 3
Lock Haven, Pa: Nicholas Thompson and Matt Langione are this week’s PSAC Athletes of the Week. Both veterans led their teams to a 2-0 perfect week. Thompson hopes to continue his five game-scoring streak, while Langione stays strong at goal with four straight shutouts since September 2nd.

Senior Nicholas Thompson is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive time for his on-going solid play for the Lakers. Thompson has extended his goal-scoring steak to five games and led his team to a perfect 2-0 week. This week he scored two game-winners and added one assist. In Wednesday’s game against Ohio Valley, Thompson scored the first goal of the game, being the game winner in a 2-0 victory. In Friday’s game against California (Pa.), Thompson continued his streak with the game-winning goal that sparked a burst of three goals in the early minutes of the first half and assisted on Billy Colton’s goal in the 13th minute of the game.

Goalkeeper Matt Langione is this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week after recording his fourth straight shutout of the season. After a 2-0 week for the Marauder’s, Langione recorded four saves in the 1-0 victory against West Chester and then posted a two save shutout in the 2-0 win over Molloy College. Since September 2nd, the junior goalkeeper has been solid between the posts, not allowing a goal in the last 368:12 minutes of play.
