Lock Haven Story

Lock Haven softball standout pitcher Kristin Erb has been named the winner of the Honda Sports Award as the top female athlete in NCAA Division II, it was announced today by the Collegiate Women's Sports Awards Program. This marks the second time in the remarkable career of Erb that she has captured the award. She also was honored as the Honda Award winner as a freshman in 2006.

Erb recently led the Lady Eagles to their second national championship in the last four years, as Lock Haven set records for most runs scored in the championship and also became the first-ever team to win the national championship game with the run-rule. She also set the all-time NCAA Division II record for wins earlier in the season. She also tied the national record for wins a season this year with 50 and finished her career with a 168-18 career mark.

She recently joined the professional softball ranks in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF), signing with the Philadelphia Force.
