Salem, Va. - Looking for their second national championship in the last four years and for their third trip to the national championship game in the last four years, the Lock Haven softball team will open up play at the NCAA Division II Women's College World Series on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. against East Region champion Le Moyne.
The Lady Eagles claimed their fourth consecutive NCAA Atlantic Regional title with two thrilling extra-inning wins against Kutztown in the Super Regional last weekend to earn their fourth straight trip to the World Series.
If victorious in their first game on Thursday, the Eagles would then take on the winner of the Alabama-Huntsville-Winona State game on Friday at 2:00 p.m. If they were to lose their first game, they would not play again until Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against the loser of the same game. The World Series is scheduled to run through Monday, May 25 with the championship game set for that date and scheduled to be televised live by CBS-College Sports.
Live stats and a webcast for each game is available on the host site for the event, which is linked to above.
