Morrill picked up four victories, including a pair over the top two seeds, in winning the 125-lb weight class at this past weekend's Reno Tournament of Champions.

After an opening-round bye, the third-seeded Morrill won by major decision (12-4) in the second round, then won an impressive 10-4 decision over No. 6 seed Alan Bartelli of Boise State in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinals, Morrill pulled off a 10-8 upset over Penn State's Brad Pataky, the No. 2 seed who was ranked sixth in his weight class by Amateur Wrestling News.  The win avenged a 4-0 loss to Pataky during a dual meet earlier this season.

In the championship match Morrill outlasted top seed Anthony Robles of Arizona State by a 4-3 count.  Robles entered the match ranked second nationally in the 125-lb class.

Last week's PSAC Athlete of the Week, as well, Morrill improved to 17-2 on the season.
