No. 8 ranked Eric Morrill of Edinboro is this week’s PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week after he won a 6-4 decision over Ohio State’s Nikko Triggas. Both at 125lbs, Triggas and Morrill were both national qualifiers just a year ago. Morrill improved to a 13-2 record.

The match stayed close in the first period, with a takedown from Morrill and an escape from Triggas. Morrill then reversed Triggas from the down position for a 4-1 lead in the second period. It was tied at 4-4 again after another escape and takedown from Triggas, but Morrill was able to finish on top again with a reversal late in the second. There was no scoring in the third period.
