Erie, Pa. - Edinboro wrestlers captured first place in seven of the 10 weight classes to lead the Fighting Scots to their fourth straight team championship at the 2008 PSAC Wrestling championships. With the championship, Edinboro becomes only the second school in PSAC history to captures four straight team championships, joining Lock Haven from the 1940s as the only teams to win at least four straight championships.

Lock Haven won five straight championships from 1940-42 and 1947-48, with there being no championships contested from 1943-46 due to World War II. A squad had won three straight championships seven times since 1947 but Edinboro becomes the first to win four straight since the Bald Eagles of the 1940s.

Edinboro individuals captured first place at the 141, 149, 157, 165, 184, 197 and the heavyweight weight classes. Clarion, Kutztown and Bloomsburg each claimed one individual title each to round out the individual finals. Overall, the Fightin Scots had all 10 of its wrestlers that competed in the championships place, as they also had two second place finishers and one fourth place. Bloomsburg, which finished second, Clarion, which finished third, and Lock Haven, which placed fourth, all had eight wrestlers each place in the top six
