- League Swimmers Combine for 35
All-America Citations

Swimmers
from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference had strong
showings at the recent NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving
Championships held at Mizzou Aquatics Center in Columbia,
Mo.. The event was co-hosted by Missouri S&T and
the University of Missouri.
Individual national champions were crowned in 42
separate events - 21 each in men's and women's
competitions. In addition, the top eight finishers
in each event earned distinction as All-Americans.
For the second straight year, swimmers from the PSAC
combined for 35 All-America citations in 26 events, led
by two West Chester gold medal performances as Ben Kuntz
claimed gold in the 200-yard butterfly along with the
800-yard freestyle relay squad.
West Chester topped the PSAC schools by finishing third
overall on the men's side and seventh in the women's
standings.
