Indoor Track and Field Earn All-America Citations
(March 17, 2008)

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has 21 indoor track and field athletes who combined to win All-America citations in 13 individual events and two relays at the 2008 NCAA II Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 14-15 in Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato.

The group was led by Slippery Rock's Brad Mueller, who captured a gold medal in the 60-meter dash with his time of 6.65 seconds.  His mark established a new PSAC best, breaking the old record of 6.84 set by IUP's Jermaine Clayton in 2004.  Also establishing a new PSAC mark was West Chester freshman Jarret Eaton.  The rookie took third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.88.

On the women's side, pole vaulter Jennifer Hansen of Slippery Rock recorded a mark of 12-09.5 to finish tied for third.  The Shippensburg distance medley relay also set a new PSAC record with their mark of 12:01.38.

Both Slippery Rock squads topped all PSAC squads with its 20th place finish on the women's side and 18th overall on the men's side.
