PSAC Men's, Women's Soccer Championships Set
(November 2, 2007)

Both the men's and women's title matches for the 2007 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Soccer Championships have now been determined.

For the men, second-seeded Lock Haven travels to top-ranked E. Stroudsburg on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start.  The women's title will be decided on Sunday at 1 p.m. as the Eastern Division's No. 1 seed West Chester hosts the No. 1 seed out of the Western Division in Slippery Rock.

Ticket prices for both events are $7 for adults and $2 for students.  Students from PSAC institutions will be admitted free with a valid I.D.

Lock Haven advanced to the championship match with its 3-0 win over Millersville in the semifinals on Wednesday.  The Bald Eagles are looking for their first title since 2004 when they defeated West Chester, 2-0.

E. Stroudsburg is the defending champion and will try for its 18th championship as the Warriors have won 12 of the last 15 titles.  ESU and Lock Haven meet in the PSAC final for the 16th time, with E. Stroudsburg winning 10 of those decisions.

For the women, defending champion West Chester seeks its second title in school history while Slippery Rock looks for its third title since 2003.

West Chester advanced to the championship match with a 3-0 semifinal victory over E. Stroudsburg.  Slippery Rock returns to the PSAC game after posting a 2-0 decision against Edinboro.
