Kutztown, Pa.  --  Senior Erin Richard of Clarion won the 2007 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Individual title, becoming the first woman in Clarion history to do so. Her time of 23:02.10 was nearly 16 seconds faster than the runner-up and last year's defending champion, Rachael Lanzel of Edinboro, and 47 seconds faster than third-place finisher Jamie Wright of Slippery Rock.

Also making history was the Bloomsburg squad, as it took home the team title with 65 points, giving the Huskies their first-ever PSAC cross country title.  The Huskies were led by a contingent of four All-PSAC runners - Amber Hackenberg (5th), Andrea Kellock (9th), Angela Borealo (12th) and Beth Schwing (13th) - who earned that status by finishing in the top 20.

IUP finished second with 99 points while Edinboro's string of nine consecutive titles came to a close with its third-place finish.  Shippensburg (112), Millersville (159), Clarion (168), East Stroudsburg (210) and Lock Haven (213) complete the top 10 team finishes. West Chester, Mansfield, California (Pa.) and Cheyney followed.

All the teams will be back in action next week at Lock Haven for the NCAA East Regional Championships.
